Selectmen Meeting Minutes
October 15th, 2007
Present: B. Pratt, M. Genest, S. Schacht, W. Prokop, C. Lunetta, S. Harding, R.Haggett, P. Lamb, J. Parsons, M. Beauchamp, M. Gale, S. Nelkens
1. The selectmen approved the minutes of the meeting of October 1st, 2007. Chairman Pratt advised everyone that the budget reviews that will begin tonight are considered “Selectmen’s Work Sessions” and that public participation does not take place. Public participation is invited at the Public Hearing on the budget which is currently planned for early February, 2008. The exact date will be finalized in the next few weeks.
2. The selectmen began the 2008 budget review process with the following departments;
a. Park and Recreation
b. Fire and Ambulance
c. Building Inspection/Code Enforcement
d. Emergency Management
e. Administration, Benefits, Legal, and Government Buildings
3. The selectmen reviewed various correspondences that has been received and approved the A/P and Payroll for the week.
The meeting adjourned at 8:45 P.M. The next scheduled meeting will be October 22nd, at 7:00 P.M.
The selectmen will be meeting in a joint session with the Bennington Board of Selectmen on October 24th at the Bennington Town Hall at 7:00 P.M. to discuss the Antrim/Bennington Bridge Project.
The next budget review work session will be held on November 5th.
